I need a compact flash card reader, but

Nikon coolpix / 8400

I'm confused as to which one to get. I have a Nikon Coolpix 8400, that has a Sandisk Card in it. So, do I need a Sandisk Card reader or does it not matter whether or not it's Sandisk, as long as it can read a compact flash disk?

Gwen, It doesn't have to be a Sandisk Card Reader. Check out the link below.

Continuation to my post from last week. I purchased a Digital Concepts 6 Slots Hi speed 51-In-1 Card Reader - Model #CR 75P last week.

It was working sorta fine. At least I was able to upload photos from my camera onto my computer. However, each time I used it, I'd get a gazillion "Found New Hardware, etc." messages.

So yesterday, I installed the driver disk. Big mistake, because I just tried uploading photos & nothing's happening.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, it seems to be working, now, after rebooting my computer, so nevermind. Driving me crazy......

Me, again. Unable to upload photos with the above card reader. Today, the red light came on, at first, now nothing. I've tried every USB outlet I have on my computer, tried rebooting, and nothing.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

I just bought a 3rd card reader. It's a Duracell Flash Memory Card Reader 15-in-1.

I took a chance, because it states that CF 1 and not just CF.

It lights up, but won't upload, so my latest question is, since my card is a CF card, will it not read it?

Really in a bind, here, and would appreciate some help.
