Hello,
Yesterday my friend transfered photos from her camera Canon 5D to my SD card. When I put the card to my camera Canon 50D I can't see the files even the card shows it is full. I tried putting the files onto my laptop but it also can't see it. Is there any way I can access the files?
Thanks
Maggie
Unless the photos are in the non-proprietary JPG format, you won't be able to open them on other devices. Your friend may have taken those photos in Canon's proprietary "Raw" format so you'll only be able to open them on a PC using image software which can read Canon 5D "Raw" files.
And even though your Canon 50D is capable of shooting & viewing 'Raw' photo files, your camera's Raw format is probably different than the Canon 5D.
try recuva and see if it finds your pics:

Also make sure that they are not set hidden in properties option.
let me supply you with the right solution which i have tried with Winrar and worked 100 percent. go to 'Computer' and then right click with the mouse on your sd card and click on Add to winrar archieve. wait for your files and hidden files that you can't find them on your sd to be added to an archive. when adding is done go to the archive and open it. you will find the files that you couldn't find. .
