Yeah, I noticed when googling the subject there were posting from people looking for 'lock codes' to activate it. That might be the same as a 'product key' that you often must enter when installing software. Beyond that I don't know what's required.

If the other computer that has the photoshop on it is still working you can install something like Belarc on it to retrieve the key. Here's a download for Belarc:

You might want to first just download the photoshop starter and try to install it. That may be all you need to do.

I'm not familiar with phototheca but you may be able to get a copy of photoshop starter edition on ebay. I just checked and didn't find any listings but you might want to check there every now and then.

Hold on. Here's a download for 'photoshop album starter edition 3.2' Is that the same thing?

(Ignore the 'recommended download' at the top. That's just junk.)

That was the first google hit. There are probably others. You may need a key or lock code to get it installed but if you have the necessary info from your previous install on the other computer it may still work.

thank you . Could you explain a little farther . I don/t know what you ;mean about a key or lock code. Never had computers in school back when I attended. Is there a way I can transfer it out of my old computer onto my new one?

You can't normally transfer programs between computers unless they are very simple and ancient ones. This is because there are registry entries necessary.

Keys and locks refer to codes that might be necessary to activate a downloaded program.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
