Roxio NXT pro in videowave audio crashes, Videowave Closes When Adding audio
My operating system is Windows 8. I have been using Roxio products for many years successfully but with Windows 8 and Roxio NXT nothing to do I cannot edit my videos like I used to as soon as I try to add music files (mp3) to videowave it crashes.

It might depend on what version of NXT pro you're using. The newest version says it's windows 8 compatible:

This indicates older versions are compatible:

but adds 'Please make sure the latest updates are installed.' There's a link to their support page in the right column of that page. Probably check there for windows 8 compatibility updates.

Thank you, the nxt pro is compatible with Windows 8 and no updates are available on Roxio site, wish there was but no there isn't.

I tried this google search:

and this was the first hit:

There are some good suggestions there but apparently none fixed it for that user. It does seem to confirm it is a problem with windows 8 despite what Roxio says about compatibility. Likely windows 8 is too new for all its bugs to be officially recognized and addressed.

I guess so. You may be able to keep track of things on roxio forums. I imagine as more people upgrade to windows 8 there will be more complaints from NXT users. Plus someone fiddling around with it may find a work-around.

I must say that I am dissapointed howerver, having used Roxio for approximately 15 years, and since Corel took over the efforts are not invested to maintain the highest quality of there products as it was with Roxio. To bad I might surch for new software.
