Solved HP laptop integrated webcam not working

Specs: Windows 7
My Webcam used to work, i have a pavillion ddv7-6c21nr entertainment pc and i have the current YOUCAM software. but every time i try to use my webcam it says "No webcam detected, please make sure it is plugged in. If you are using an integrated webcam please make sure it is turned on" I've looked through mycomputer in ever imaginable corner and i cant even seem to find the webcam driver.

Have a look in Device Manager to see if webcam is listed under "Imaging Devices" or if it's shown as an "Unknown Device" with a question-mark next to it.

If shown as unknown device, download & install the driver from the HP website.
If it's not shown anywhere in Device Manager, and there are no unknown devices, it is likely that the webcam is broken, which is why Windows can't detect it.

If broken, you can claim free repair under warranty if it's still covered, or if not you can buy an external webcam.
