I use a Sony handycam DCR-TVR340 handycam digital 8 videocam. How can I transfer my videos to my desktop so I'll be able to burn to VCD.

Well from looking at the specs for that camera it appears all you would need to do is plug the camera in with the usb cable that came with it to your computer. Then your computer should recognize it and then you could go into MY COMPUTER and open it up like a hard drive. Within there you can copy and paste the MPEG files (video files) to the desktop. I could be wrong but with that camera that's all it should take. Also you may have gotten a cd with this camera that would have software on it that would do this for you.
