How to read dvds of region 1 AND 2 on macbook

Specs: Macintosh
hey, I travel a lot between home (Europe) and the US, need to read DVDs from both regions. so far I had to travel with two laptops for that! I was hoping to be able to use just one, got a MacBook Air and an external dvd drive, wonder what to do to have it read both regions and what to download to have the Mac forget about the 5 time only region change. I bought an LG drive (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039U3J2Y/ref=oss_product)
thanks!

Macs will not let you do that. Its very important you buy play movies in your own region....or else. But no really i dont think there is a way to do that Apple is very particular about media laws.

It's not like I live in one place and import from the other. I live in both.
it doesn't make sense to have two computers...
