how do i get photos from the camera itself -

June 27, 2011 at 16:59:49
Specs: Windows XP
I took some photos without having the picture card in the camera. Now I can't get the photos to download - or even display on my computer.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks - James

Most digital cameras will not store photographs if the memory card is not in the camera. If your camera does have its own storage space then you can try connecting it to your pc, going into My Computer and searching through the camera's folders.
If you cannot find any photos then your camera did not store them.

Dear Iroc-Z

Sorry, forgot to mention that I can see the photos I took without the card in on the camera itself, but they won't display on the computer.

Thanks for your reply

If your problem has not been solved, you can try connecting your camera, browsing the drive (will be 'e:' or 'f:' in 'My Computer') and also going to the 'Tools' menu (press 'alt' if it is hidden), click on 'Folder Options' then to the 'View' tab, and change the settings to display hidden files and system files - will show every file on the device.
If it still does not show, then try moving the photos onto a memory card from the camera itself (insert the card and try to move the photos from the camera onto the card).
