Comment: I need to view a jpg from a non PC DVD player. I created a power point file but it will not view in the player. I believe from this player, it has to show only the file, no questions can be answered like, License approval ie. Do you accept, etc. The CD is a write once disc and I was using Power Point from Office 2007. Any ideas? srloren

Reply: (edit)A little all over the place with the situation but simply copy the files to a CD as a Data CD and a normal (non-PC)DVD player will display the .jpg images. An alternative would be to utilize the MS freebie "PhotoStory 3" to create a video of many images and burn it to DVD as a video that will play on any DVD player. HTH Bryan

Reply: (edit)XPUser4Real, My son asked me to create a cd or dvd with a jpg or powerpoint file, either will do as it is just one file with some text on it, I just need it to play on the monitor at his office that uses a simple dvd player only (No Computer). In Powerpoint I can publish as a CD package but when the file is opened, it inserts the question regarding licensing and will not play on his player at the office because the player has no way of clicking on the accept box. I own all of my software legally and it is a pain in the you know what, that Microsoft has created so many hurdles. If you have any suggestions or work arounds, I would appreciate it. TIA srloren

Reply: (edit)That seems like a waste only 1 pic on a CD...LOL...I know CD's are really inexpensive anymore, I'm just joking. In that case Bryco's info will work fine: 'copy the jpg to a CD and burn it as a Data CD' I wouldn't use the powerpoint file. The reason I had asked my question was because if you had a powerpoint presentation, you would have to get a converter to burn it onto a DVD for viewing. Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Reply: (edit)Actually I tried Bryco's suggestion copying to a cd as a data file and it displays for only a few seconds. I need it to display for an hour. Any more suggestions? Thanks much for your input. srloren

Reply: (edit)I just thought of this, put your pic into windows movie maker and then switch to timeline and stretch the pic to the right (you have to keep stretching it and it will take awhile to get to an hr, just keep moving the draw bar below it and stretch it to the right, but I think that's what you want) to view the pic up to 1 hour or more and then save it to a CD. I think that will work. I stretched it to over 10 minutes and it worked fine. Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Reply: (edit)Thanks again XPUser4Real, I was successful with Windows Movie Maker but the movie is so blurry or soft. The movie will be viewed from about 5 ft so it must be sharper. I recreated the jpg in Photoshop at 400 dpi, but Movie Maker must compress the file because it does not look like it did in PhotoShop. I must learn more because I am unhappy with the sharpness. Thanks for your time and effort. srloren

Reply: (edit)"as a data file and it displays for only a few seconds" I am thinking that you have set to play as a slide show. Just click on the file when the list appears on the DVD player to just display that image. Perhaps you will need to add more than one image so that you have a choice of which image to display. Additionally, the DVD player will likely go into screensaver mode after a short period no matter which way you display an image. Bryan

Reply: (edit)Thanks Santa, I used Nero but the movie is still soft or blurry. Is that the nature of movies that are not High Definition? Thanks for your suggestion. srloren
