Help with editing picture please

Please read I would really thank the person who can help me with this. I took a picture of a real estate sign. My question is how can I take the image and edit the words on the sign also remove the background I have provide the link to the image below

firstly the image is far too big to be posted on the web - reduce the size / quality etc especialy for demo purposes

Use the crop tool to crop the image back to the sign border or use the square selection tool to select it and cut and paste it to a new image - the rubber / eraser can be used to tidy up any bits left over

Don't try editing the lettering - get rid of it and replace it with your own. Use the color picker tool to select the green (or the off white) then use a paint brush to paint over the existing lettering - then replace it with your own

Hello rayok123 I which I know the program you used to do that. I know it might be to much for me to ask how did you do that.

Is there anyway i can take this image and have them print it on a LARGE sign? umm at the bottum of the sign the email address is incurrect the name is spelled laurencie

Yes - airbrush out the old text and put in the new stuff

I used adobe photoshop which is expensive, gimp is free and can easily do this stuff. The trick is to play with the software and follow some tutorials

Yes it could be blown up to a large sign but it wouldn't look very good - a large sign like this would probably be done using a vector drawing package which scales up images better and has sharper edges

Exactly - anyone can do it, but if this is totally new ground for you, then you're not about to acquire these mad skillz overnight.

Practice as well as familiarity with the basic concepts & your particular software choice are prerequisites

im sure u can also use microsoft photo editor which u myt have with ur office (unless its 2003). i prefer that and its simple to use.
