I don't think this cards driver was installed right. It is a Snazzi III AV DV (firewire version) and I contacted the Snazzi website as originally i didn't have the driver and software that goes with it. I thought I would just figure out how to use use it but no luck so far. The Snazzi people did send me the driver + Movie Mill and DV Studio S3 AV.DV. When I opened Movie Mill I can use a scan feature to capture video from whatever in this case a VCR, but it says that there is no video source detected. At least i think that is what it said. Something else has gone wrong so I am going to reinstall the applications now so I can't get that error. Seems I might have changed something I shouldn't have. I noticed that in 'device manager' the things that seemed to relate to the video capture card were not right so I changed the drivers. Anyway going to take the card out and see what happens now. I know this is all rather vague but if there is someone that has experience with capture cards specifically and knows what entries should be in device manager or knows how to install this particular model I would appreciate the help. I have only installed one video capture card before and it took forever to get happening. I would use that same card still(hauppague) but it has problems in the AMD. I read quite a bit about it after bashing my head he he and thought ok well I will try the Snazzi card as I had that spare. Ultimately I do not know if the Snazzi card works as I got it from someone that couldn't tell me either way.
