Hi I have a few questions & if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
1) When making a DVD filmed in HD is there any special program to use for editing/burning or dvd to use to retain the quality? DVD-R seem to stop working after a few plays on any DVD players.
2) What's the best type of DVD to use to create movies?
3) Also is there a way to print labels with pictures and text directly onto DVD?
I think that's it, thank you to anyone who has time to reply.

3) Lightscribe

You need a special dvd writer & dvd's.
Before posting try google. Backup. Use anti virus software.

1) To maintain the quality of HD footage, you should be using blue-ray discs, which require a blue-ray burner (and associated software).
2) DVD's are not used to create movies, only as a means of delivery/storage.
3) There are a number of inkjet printers available that print directly to printable media. e.g. "HP C5280 All-in-one"
Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

Thanks a lot for your help, My friend just got a printer with lightscribe so I'm looking forward to playing around with that.
& I'll look into the blue ray I guess.
Thanks

You do not need a BD burner and BD disks for Hi definition burning.
You can burn hi definition to regular dvd with a regular burner as avchd (and even in mpeg2). The catch is that you need a hi definition player such as a blu ray player or the PS3 to play back the disk. A normal dvd player will not do it.
You can fit up to 40 minutes of hi def mpeg2 on a double layer dvd, (or up to 60 minutes of avchd)
Programs that will do this are Ulead, Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas... and a few others.
