Hello

I need a good free converter to convert some MOV and 3GP Files to AVI (or MPG) format. I am wondering if anyone knows some free converter. By “Free”, I mean 100% free not just 15 days free.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

RE: CUTTING VIDEO CLIPS

There are many software out there which support these kind of features. But I don’t want to give you the name and make it look like spam. Just search the Google or Yahoo and you will find many. Following a link to Download.com where I used video toolkit as search string to find such a software.

I have recently used one of them and it was very easy to use, especially for newers.

BigGal, why would you think it as spam if you named a good piece of software?

This is a bit amusing as both response one and two seem to be laid out in the same format...LOL

They also both recommend the same (unknown and possibly spyware-infested) software.

Kinda makes it look suspiciously like spam.

I'd suggest trying "Super 2007", available from the link provided by XpUser4Real.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

I have been using Super from erightsoft. Free download and it is a very serious program. Don't be intimidated when it boots up, it's pretty logically oriented. It is capable of a lot of conversions, I use it to convert Utube videos to AVI, mpeg etc. and to sometimes convert to mpeg3 and it auto-rips the music only.

You can try Super, free tool, it can convert video to all video formats including avi format.
You can download it here

I personally think if you can budget for one, why bother to use free one, whose quality can't be guaranteed. if super doesn't works, you can try wondershare video converter platinum, It works well for me. You can download it here

You can try free version of Any Video Converter, it can convert your mov or 3gp files to mpg or avi files for free and there is no time limitation. You can download it from http://www.any-video-converter.com. The free version is enough for your demand.

Everything is to be paid for..
