Formatting Memory Card

I have a memory card. It always says memory card full of 12 pictures when I try to take a video or snap a picture. I am going to format it so I can clean it out. But is their any way, that I can see what those twelve photos are because when I upload the disk into the computer it says no images?

Must be you camera's built in memory. Have you checked it out in your computer?
