I want firefox to open all videos with windows media player instead of quicktime player because it does my head. I want my computer to ask me to save files somewhere instead of loading a new page with the video / song loading up with quicktime player

Any ideas how I can change this. I have tried everything I can think of (including go into windows media players preferences and click on them all and doing the same with quicktime player but unticking every file format but .mpg files still load up in quicktime).

I also don't like the quicktime player as it tries to take over your PC at the best of times.
Have you tried the IE extension for firefox? It will play vids on WMP, all you have to do is D/L the extension, and then when you get to the site that has the vids, just right click anywhere on the page and say to view in IE tab. Works for me.
Let us know how you make out

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

normo, have you also tried posting this on the mozilla forums?

As for Quicktime-I agree with you guys. It is as pushy as some other programs on the computer.
