I have a HP a1123C with a DVD+-RW drive. Windows XP. When I burn a DVD (not incripted) I am not able to finalize. Message say I must use a writeonce disc. The the copied DVD will play on this system but not on other DVD players. I assume this is because I could not finalize. The software is Sonic Digital media plus v7 which came with the system. The discs I have tried are DVD+RW, and DVD+R . Am I using the wrong disc?

If a disc is to wear the "DVD" label, it MUST be finalized.
Most if not all DVD players will only accept a finalized disk... or in other words, a DVD.
DVD+rw are not finalizing disks.
If you made an attempt to do a finalize with a dvd+rw and got the error message, then you need to close and restart sonic with the proper disk installed and ready. Other wise it will continue to believe a dvd+rw is being used.
