I have an older JVC GR-DVM76U Mini DV Camcorder, I am trying to downlod these tapes to my laptop, I have Roxio DigitalMedia that I have used to download DVD's and edit them to movies, this program will not recgnize this JVC, how or what can I use?

ive had varying results with editing / capture software
recently asou can see it was trial and error

however the cam your using has a jack box are you using this? it has an S video output , i know this works with a capture device like this

i used ulead 11 se dvd , (version 9 and 10 just didnt work)
also having trialed these devices i would definately get one
thats vista compatible.

ive read recently there's a lot of hit and miss with these products so check ebay for cheap original software latest edition
