I have changed my region setting for DVDs on my computer twice already and I really don't want to do it again. I have purchased a DVD that is both region 1 and 4. I have a region 1 computer. Will playing this DVD require me to change settings if it is both a region 1 and 4 dvd?

I think SW is short for software (player), Charmz. I'm not surprised that you didn't know that. It really should not have been shortened like that.
Sorry, I don't have an answer for your question.

If the disc is Region 1 or 4 then it will play in a region 1 or region 4 drive. So, there should be no reason to change the region on your PC.

However, I don't see why you are even asking this. Couldn't you simply put the disc in the PC and see if it played? If it required a region change you could simply exit out without making that change. Honestly, I just don't get it.

If you have a problem with some discs being region 4 only and you still need region 1, just get a second drive and set it to region 4.
