I am looking to convert my TV show seasons to
DIVX. Problem is, I can't find a program that
will let me choose individual chapters on a
DVD for conversion. If only DVDFab did
DIVX...Anyway, can anybody help me out?

Checkout the Xilisoft DVD ripper, I 'think' it will do what you want.
http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-ripper....
FWIW to XP users: When you click on the 'Command Prompt' you are just causing the 'Command prompt' to be displayed. This prompt gives you access to NTVDM.EXE, the 'NT Virtual DOS Manager'.

Try Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter. It can converts DVDs to play on almost any portable device including iPod, iPhone, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, video capable mobile phones, Pocket P.C., and so on. Meanwhile, it can also support output almost any audio/video format including Video format(H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, VideoCD, SuperVideoCD, DVD, etc)
It even has a step by step guide.Just download it and follow the guide. Hope it helps.

generally, once you load your DVD to a dvd ripper software, it wiil shows up as several individual chapters, then you just check or uncheck some of them and then convert.
for format, i would prefer mp4 (xvid codec) for its better quality and smaller size. ( xvid is developed based on divx codec, and personally, i think xvid is much better than divx.) anyway, it is your chioce.
it's my experience and i use iskysoft dvd ripper for my dvd collection.
