Hi!
I record shows on a dvd recorder. Now I want to put them on AVI format (Xvid or DivX) but of course, ripping out the commercials. Here's the problem. I have VOB's and some software to convert, but it doesn't have the option to remove the unwanted parts.I'm using Fairuse Wizard now, cause it allows me to choose to rip the wanted parts but I think I'm not getting the best output quality with it.
So, Is there any software that can give me good results (put filters for example) and leave the parts I want to rip?
If no, how can I make this in another way? Maybe cutting the part of the video I want on another software...
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Windows Movie Maker 2 that comes free from MS with XP SP2.
Import the video and it will automatically see the breaks making chapters. Delete out the commercials, save the file and then use your conversion software to make it into the desired format.

If Fairuse can’t make it, u may have a go at Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum, but not free.
uncheck the unwanted Title or set Start Time and Duration against certain title, ur problem will be solved. And that, its output quality is rather good, in my view.
