I need a driver for my web cam, vista will not read my cam disk, philips does not have an update for my web cam. It comes up as a generic digital camera when I plug it in. I am new to vista and can't figure out how to add as a plug n play because it is just a camera and a USB plug, Please help
Thanks,Teri

right click on my comp >> ckick properties >> go to hardware tab >> click device manager >> look for unknown device or the name of the camera >> right click on it and click update driver >> just select no, not this time then click next >> click next again

before doing this make sure that the driver cd is in

sorry for the delay

Thanks for your suggestion, but it didn't work either, the problem is that it will not read my disk other than to download the Photo2Album for PC Camera that came with the camera. it refuses to download the driver and since I do not have the model number Philips will not give me an up dated Driver. Well heck I just found the model #. let me go back to Philips and see if now I can get the driver. Thanks for helping me!

Can you copy the files from the cd to a usb drive, using xp.

Then see if vista reads the files from usb.
