I'm looking into the Genius G-Pen F610 Drawing Tablet. I was wondering if anybody out there had a similar product and to find out how it works for them. It's a 121.99$ item in Canada on TigerDirect so I'd like to make sure it's worth it. I like to draw freehand and thought it would be nice to do this in Photoshop since i'll be designing beginner web pages and logos.

Please let me know the model you have and the cons and pros to them. Thanks.

Abit AN8 Socket 939
AMD64 X2 4200 @2.5Ghz
Corsair 1Gig Dual-Channel 2x512
MSI Radeon x800 PCI-E
Seagate 160Gig SATA
WesternDigital 80Gig SATA
WesternDigital 160Gig SATA
Antec TC

I have no experience with that brand, personally I use a Wacom tablet. A pen tablet is much easier and more intuitive to use than a mouse.
I highly recommend them, once you have one you'll never go back to using a mouse for editing.

The one XpUser4Real mentioned. The Genius G-Note 7000, seems to be more for text and documents rather then photoshop and such. I'm sure it does to graphics but it has built-in memory and it doesn't need to be at your computer. i.e. bring it to work, train or bus and do some work. But i'll consider it. Thanks.

rhawk, I'm at the Wacom website. There are nice things in here. What series do you have? I'll assume it's the "INTUOS". Also, could you give me the model of your tablet and the things you disslike about them? Thanks.

I have an older cheaper graphire3 model. When I bought it, several years ago I paid about $100. Just looking at their site, I would guess the Bamboo would now be the equivilent model, $99 on Newegg. The working area is only 4 X 5, but frankly I don't find that restrictive in the least.
I don't have any dislikes about the tablet, although I find no use for the included mouse, I only use the pen.

I have a Wacom tablet and use Adobe Photoshop CS2© quite a bit, but to be completely honest I don't use my tablet that much. I guess it sorta depends what you'll be using it for, it's definitely a cool thing to have though. For less than 100 bucks I'd go for it, especially if you do drawing and stuff (I mostly do editing and composing stuff like posters and stuff)
