How can I download pics from a Kodak C713 onto a computer running win 2000 pro sp4? The program disk won't load onto this op sys and the computer doesn't recognize the camera as a drive. The older version of Easyshare gives me headaches trying to download it and the Kodak sight is useless for help. I don't want/need the fancy options of the program........I just want the pics on the computer......any ideas?

You need to sort out the problem of the camera not being recognised, W2K will sense a USB device has been plugged in.

First of all if your cam is not being recognized by being plugged in the usb port, that poses a small problem. Are any other USB devices recognized? Are your USB ports duabled in bios?
An easy cure is to buy a USB 2 PCI card and install that. Then your cam should be recognized. A card runs from $7.99 and up, just check out Ebay.

Once that is sorted out, you could download Picasa software:

Good LuckSome HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
