Comment: I was recently on vacation and my memory card in my camera was full. I took the last few pictures of the day on the internal memory of my camera. The next day, bought a new memory card to continue vacation. The first few pictures on the new card seemed fine (I could view the pics) and then suddenly, the next picture, the file started to scramble (for lack of a better word) I couldn't ge the picture back, deleted and tried another with the same problem, only now all the pictures stored on the card were not viewing properly if at all. I decided to see if it was the card, and tried to view the ones still stored in memory of camera (big mistake) - they were fine, and had been viewable even up to this point, until I did the stupidest thing in my life, and hit the button to move the pictures stored from the memory of the camera to the card. No I can't get any of them back. I can't see any of them. The pictures that were taken that morning on the card I don't care much about - went back and took more pictures on a new card. The few that I moved from the camera to the bad card, I still cannot forgive myself for losing. The pics cannot be relplaced, and I can't seem to get them back . Have tried everything and viewing with lots of programs and computers. (everything from Sea World Photo Specialists, to work, home, sisters computer. No noone has had any luck. I have tried digital phot recovery programs online and can't get them to view. The files are there, just doesn't show a picture. I KNOW 100% that the files were good when moved to the card. But the card isn't so good. Also tried to get the deleted files of the camera they were originally stored on (before I moved them) - no luck yet. can ANYONE please help???? The camera is an HP photosmart 320 the bad card is a Dane Elec 128 SD card (think it was too big for my camera?) the one that works is a Panasonic 64 mb SD. The programs I have been trying online include Digital photo recovery and disc internal flash recovery. Sorry this is so long, trying to be complete. Extra - one of the pics on the disc still show up as scrambled, but when I just grabbed the camera (hooked to computer), the scrambled picture was perfect. then it scrambled again. the others still show nothing. All stored as JPG.

Reply: (edit)Try taking the card to Walgreens or CVS and use their machine to see if you can get them. If so, have them place the images on CD for a nominal fee. HTH Bryan

Reply: (edit)I have tried that (although not specifically at walgreens) that was the first thing I tried. they really had no clue what to do and said to format the card (which would make it that much harder to try and retrieve the files) Thanks.

Reply: (edit)I tried the digital image recovery, but still no luck. Several of the image recovery porgrams say they will restore deleted files, even from a formated card or drive, but I don't seem to be able to bring them up at all.

Reply: (edit)My dad had practically the same problem, his smart media card just didnt show his pictures that he'd taken. He got a piece of software which works bloody fantastically called ImageRecall or image recall. Hope this helps!
