I have pix I have loaded on my laptop but the file ended up in my recent documents. When I attempt to open the pix this message appears. Drive or network connection that the shortcut 'IMAG0043.Ink' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available. There is no disk I used a USB from camera to laptop. These pix are one of a kind. Grateful for any help or info

It sounds like you DID NOT transfer the actual photos... only a LINK (or shortcut) to the photos.
A shortcut is merely a reference to where the file in question is actually located.

There should be a small arrow on the icon if it is a shortcut.

I believe you will have to RE COPY the photos.

You can try to SEARCH for the file in question. Go to your search function a type in under "all files and folders" the name of the file with a star:

IMAG0043.*

This will bring up and show ALL references and locations of the image in question

or...After you viewed the image you moved it to a different folder and that is why the Recent Docs shortcut cannot find it.

If you moved it then look in the location of where you may have moved it to (or do a search as noted above).
