Comment: ALoha!! :) Gosh I hope someone can pleeeeease help me!! Well here's the story... I havea digital "Olympus" brand camera and of course there's a memory card that goes to the camera. The memory card I've been using is a "FUJIFILM" brand memory card and they type of memory card my camera uses is the: xD-Picture Card I hope that sounds familiar to you. Anyway, it's been giving me problems lately...and now it's just giving me more. Everytime I try to turn on my camera and view the photos on the card or try to take more pictures using the card a screen keeps coming up that says: "CARD SETUP" at the top and in the middle it gives me 2 options which is to either: "POWER OFF" or "FORMAT". When I choose "FORMAT" it says if I do that it will DELETE all my images on the card. I have this awful feeling I'll have to end up doing that but that's why I came here. I was wondering if there is any way I could at least transfer the pictures on there to another card or some kind of cd at least. I really really need the photos on the memory card. I hope I gave enough info. If not, please feel free to contact me through my email address. I'd really really appreciate it if you could help me. PLEEEASE!! Thank you so much for your time!! MAHALO! :) Desperately holding on to the photos, Vai

Reply: (edit)Have you tried a different card in your camera? Try reading the card in your computer if you got a card reader. If you don't have a card reader you might try the photo printer at a drug store, wallmart, sam's club or costco. If you have another card I would try that first.

Reply: (edit)"I really really need the photos on the memory card." I don't believe it is the design of the memory cards to be used as permanant a storage device. Card readers are very cheap. Transfer the photos onto your PC and then onto CD or do take the card down to your local Walgreens or CVS and use their machine or services to transfer the images to CD. Bryan

Reply: (edit)Hey! Thanks for all your help and suggestions, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately I've tried everything you've suggested. When I went to my local drugstore the machine said it couldn't find any images on my card. My PC said the same thing. But there has to be photos on there because everytime I'm about to change the format it says it will delete all the current images. I'll try looking into that card reader though. Thanks for all your help! vai

Reply: (edit)Although the program's license shows it to be 'freely distributable', hearsay has it that the author frowns upon it be distributed now. For these reasons I will not post it's name. Once you grab a copy let me know so I can take it off of my webspace. Right click here and select Save target as. ~600kb download If there is anything on the memory card(even after beign formatted) then it will find it. Regards, Bryan

Reply: (edit)"because everytime I'm about to change the format it says it will delete all the current images." It will present that warning even on a brand new unformatted and empty memory card. It is just a warning that formatting will kill anything on it. Bryan
