Hello,
I recently purched a Kodak Easy Share camera, and every time I want to upload some pictures, I have to re-install the software it came with. It's crap. And now, XP does't even recogonize the device. I've tried pluging it into different USB slots but nothing worked. Something tells me I wasted my money on this thing. Any suggestions, or is it time to get a new camera? Thanks.

Hey, how it going?

Have you checked my computer to see if it shows as an additional drive?
Double check the manual to make certain you are not missing a setting.
You might also check the mfr. web site for help and support.

I had the same problem with a Kodak EZ100 camera. I finally trashed it and bought a Fuji E500, which I am very happy with.

Sorry, I do not check for private messages

Generally, camera software is inferior to much that is available, free, on the intenet!!.

As far as dowloading the pictures to your PC:

1. Get a card reader - from eBay: they are ridiculously inexpensive. Just check which card your Kodak uses and ensure the reader you buy covers this one or get a multi-reader. This way you never need to connect your camera to the PC - simply put the card into the reader!

2. Download "Picasa" from Google at

http://picasa.google.com/download/

When you put the card into the reader inform Picasa and it will place all that is on the card to your hard drive in "My Pictures". Done!

Picasa also offers within the program simple editing and printing options.

It will also burn slide shows for you.
