hey there i have a fairly new laptop and it contains an rgb output and a dvi-d. i also have an lcd tv and always connecting my laptop to the lcd via the rgb socket on the laptop to the one on the tv. but ive started to become curious as to whether i could achieve a better picture on the tv when playing movies on the laptop if i used the dvi socket. i have researched and seen that rgb is analogue and dvi is digital but does this mean the picture will definately be better?
so if the picture will be that much better i will buy a lead. i have seen dvi leads which connect to the dvi sockect with hdmi on the other end. now my tv has hdmi but just one which i use it for the xbox, would a dvi lead with the 3 phono hd picture leads on the other end deliver a picture that is as good as hdmi? thanks.

No problem, I think everyone knew what you meant. It's really the same thing.
I don't think that you will find a cable with an HDMI connector on one end and RCA (phono) plugs on the other. The HDMI out is digital and would have to be converted to analog for the RCA plugs. If that was possible, you would not get a better picture than you have now.
