Dial up and Webcam - worth it?

I want to buy a Webcam for my father. He lives in the middle of the woods and has only Dial up. I'm unsure about the reception and capabilities for webcams with dial up. Will it work with the new MSN, or will the video be chunky and not work? Is dial up used regularly with webcams?

The video will be VERY chunky, more like separate pictures then a movie.

Consider buying your satellite cable connection - he will love seeing you in live time on the PC.

If he has a Verizon phone, he may be able to get DSL for $15 a month.
