I have a widescreen movie on my computer that i ripped from dvd and i want to crop it to a custom aspect ratio. I want to change it from 16:9 to 16:10, so that i can re-burn it to dvd and watch it on my tv like that. Does anyone know how i can crop my movies? Thanks for the help in advance.

Cropping is actually cutting out a portion or trimming, more likely you mean changing the aspect ratio.
VirtualDub (free) will do it, or if you're willing to pay, I'd suggest Adobe Premier Elements. Check here for more info:
