copying photos to flash drive

When I copy a photo folder from My Pictures to a Flash Drive I lose the individual photo's identifying titles. As these photos are of ancestors, the names are important when I share the flash drive photos with relatives. How to keep each photo's title? Must I copy EACH picture separately instead of by folder?

Copy the contents of the folder, not the folder itself.
Edit > Select All, then Copy and Paste.

What kind of flashdrive are you using? I'm just curious because when I click & drag pics onto my PNY flashdrives, the titles remain intact. My flashdrives don't have that U-3 software; I have no idea if that even matters though.....
