Subject: Copying Mini DVDsOS: Windows XPCPU/Ram: AMD Athlon 3200 processor |
Comment: I have video on Mini DVD's recorded on a Sony HandyCam. The files are in VOB format. I would like to combine the content of as many MINI DVDs as possible on a regular DVD. I have tried to copy the MINI DVD (1.7) GB and it takes up the entire space (4.7 GB) on the regular DVD. I am new at this and I'm not sure what I need to do. Can you somebody help me with this?

Reply: (edit)You're not actually filling an entire 4.7 g disk.... it's just simply being finalized so it APPEARS that way. All VOB type DVD's are finalized for play so you can not add files... and copying a finalized disk will simply give you another finalized disk. If you want to add files then you will have to convert and store them on disk as MPEG instead of VOB. Or you can store the MPEG on Hard drive until you are ready to burn then combine them and convert to VOB
