I transferred some home movie videotapes to DVD using a DVD burner. My computer can play the DVD but I am unable to copy the DVD to the hard drive. I'd like to do that to edit the movies. Cut and paste does not appear to work. Can someone help? Thanks.

JoeMiddle is right, I do this almost everyday. you need a dvd ripper. I use DR. Divx, i find it to be the best. they no longer offer it at the site but http://www.canadiancontent.net/tech/download/Dr._DivX_(Three_Step_DivX_Encoding_App).html has it (im not sure if its legal or not, but it is the trial version) or you could go to divx.com and get the divx create bundle, although im not sure if it rips or not, ive never used it, but it should. There are a ton of other rippers out there, but i like the divx ones the best.
