With Nero 6 Ultra or v7 Ultra Enhanced, is it possible to copy (or rip) from music CDs (CDA) * to* a DVD-R/-RW? I don't find anything in the manual or on their support site about it.
If so, is it possible to copy more than one music CD to a DVD in a multisession?
How would I go about copying multiple music CDs to a DVD?
Thanks.

NERO is too expensive, i do not think NERO 6 Ultra can burn cd to dvd ~
you can use ImTOO DVD Copy Express to solve this problems.it is cheaper than nero,and the speed is more fast than NERO tool.
live well```i live with evil wing~

DVD's do not use the same file format for music as CD's do so you can't just copy them over. DVD's use Dolby digital (AC3), DTS, and 24 bit LPCM files for music. You will need something like DVD Audio Creator to do the job

Thanks Squall58 & Kurt,
Hmmm, I'm surprised that a program as advanced as Nero 6 / 7, wouldn't handle copying CDA tracks and burning to a DVD (in any format), when other programs will. But, that may be true.
Kurt, I looked at DVD Audio Creator. Apparently, the price is in the upper stratosphere? Specs for formats supported are listed and didn't include MP3 / MP3 Pro:
* MLP, LPCM, WAV and AIFF audio streams
* 44.1 kHz - 192 kHz sample frequency
* 16 - 24 bit depth
* Dolby Digital, MPEG-1 Layer II and DTS compressed format (in VIDEO_TS)
* Fully adjustable downmix parameters

My bad, the one I wanted you to see was Audio DVD Creator and is much cheaper ($39)and will do MP3's.
You might be able to get by even cheaper though (free). Many newer DVD players will play MP3's. If this is true of yours, all you would need to do is rip the music CD to mp3 files, then just use Nero and create a Data disc and burn the MP3's to the DVD. A good freeware CD ripping program is CDex. http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/

Ok, Kurt,
I'm a little confused when you said,
"If this is true of yours, all you would need to do is rip the music CD to mp3 files, then just use Nero and create a Data disc and burn the MP3's to the DVD"My orig ? was about using Nero 6 or 7 to rip/copy music and burn to DVDs. I thought you indicated that Nero probably wouldn't handle that? I didn't mention it, but I'd definitely be interested in MP3 / MP3 Pro.
Unless I'm missing something (and if Nero can burn mp3 files to DVD, then I AM missing something), I haven't found a way, or info in the Nero 6 manual (have v7, not installed) or info on Nero's web site about how to copy / rip from a music CD to a DVD - in any shape, form, fashion or format.
It seems to want the destination disk to be the same format as the source disk.
Can you give basic steps using Nero to accomplish ripping music, converting to MP3 & burning to DVD? BTW, I contacted Nero support, but no reply.
Thanks!

Ok, install and run the CDex program I told you about. Configure it the way you like, IE. where to store the MP3 files, bitrate, etc. Then go ahead and rip your music CD's and put the MP3 files on your hard drive.
Now fire up Nero, Chose to make a data DVD and just point it at your MP3 files, and burn. If your DVD player supports it (and most do now) you should be able to put the DVD in your player and it will play.

Kurt,
Yes, I did get it to work. If you or others have time, please see another question of mine linked below about keeping ripped tracks in same order as orig CD, once stored on HDD. Mainly for purposes of burning to new CD.Happy Chrismanukawanza!
