Hi, I was wonering how I can convert .WMV video files to AVI. I couldnt find a way to in Windows Media Player, so I tried downloading some software, but it was shareware trial software and only converted 5 seconds of the video? Is there a freeware program to convert WMV videos to AVI?

A google search might find you a freeware converter, but the odds of it being free of spyware are low. After all, you get what you pay for. Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

I use WinAVI. It converts many differing types of video files.
