I have some security cameras that connect to my television for me to view. I want to be able to see those cameras on the internet through my website when I am not in the building. How can I do this? Do I buy a tuner card for the computer and run the receiver through the computer? Then how do I get the cameras to feed to the website? Please help.

There are some devices (like Slingbox) that will do what you want. There are also devices similar to the Singbox designed specifically for security cameras.

You could also get a capture card for your computer to connect the receiver to. Once you are able to view the cameras on your computer, there is a plethora of software that will allow you to send snapshots to you via e-mail, FTP, or some other means. There is also software that essentially acts as a web server and shows you a real-time view of the camera when you go to a web page.

What types of software can get to send the snapshots to the website and the software that acts as a webserver? Please let me know.

Would you prefer that it take a snap shot every X seconds and upload it to a FTP folder, take a snapshot and upload only when motion is detected, or run as a web server on your computer that you would then connect to to view the "live feed".
