Computer says there are no pics on my memory Card

February 3, 2013 at 00:45:33
Specs: Windows XP

This just occured today, and worked fine yesterday. I attach camera via USB from camera and also a card reader. Both times it says there are no pics in card, but I cn see the pics when viewing them in camera. Nothing new has occurred to change why it wont let me import my pix. I use XP, and have a Canon Rebel XTi.

Try using a different computer - plug the card reader into that.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.

If you try a card reader instead a direct communication with the camera ,you may get an easy solution with this .You just plug in a memory card in the system and next you will get a drive shown through the icon there .Double Click on the drive to fetch data from this.
