Hiya, I am tring to combine two image into one image file.

The problem that I am having is trying to find instructionto do what I want.

I do not want to take two pictures and layer them one over the over.

What I would like to accomplish is to take to pictures and either merge them side by side or one on top the other.

My project is to create a Grove "near far" image to post on facebook.

So, I am using a trial of Photoshop CS3 and have tried File-Automate-Merge to HDR but it took the images and merged them by placing one on top the other. Tried the Photomerge option just below it and nothing became of that other than only one image appeared.

That is about it for using the help file and viewing youtube and livesearch.

help!

I use a different program, but what I do is first set the sizes of the two pictures the same. Then double the horizontal canvas size on the first one. Next copy and paste the second one into the empty canvas space.

huh, wow

those two links look great, nope I took the advisd to create a larger canvas, cropped it, then added the Near.. and far text and voila.

The thing about Photoshop is that the interface doesn't look so user friendly. Over the years my screen has gotten bigger and I have become more accustom to the floating menus and such. Trial and error.

I have a banana and trial and error, however, those links look great but what I did was opened the 2 pictures then a new canvas then selecting the images and dragging and dropping each one from the outside menu panels then just placing them close together and the software merged them...and so on until I got the finished product.

Thank you for sending me those links, I like panorama views, but mostly helicopter views.

Anywho, great day to you all :)
