|There are several things that can cause shockwave to crash on chrome. |
The first of these could be that chrome is confused on whether to use a downloaded flash player or its built in shockwave player. To see if this is the problem, go to the url bar in chrome then type about:plugins. Scroll down to the one that says flash. If it says flash (2 files) this means chrome is attempting to run two flash programs together.
To fix this, click the Details [+] button at the top right of the page. Select disable for the one stored in the Google folder, as this is chromes built in flash player. Disabling the system player might cause other browsers or applications not to work.
If this isn't the problem, it could be an extension or application interfering with chrome. If you go to chrome://extensions you can disable some extensions and see if this helps. You can also attempt to uninstall and re-install chrome to see if that helps.
