Icons for EXE files are kinda unique.
For other file types the icon is set by which program is used to open it. In other words which program is 'associated' with it.
But I think EXE files either have an icon included inside, or a reference to an exterior icon. Maybe you can find an answer to your question in the whichever compiler you used to create your EXE.
Or maybe you can check in the programming forum.
