Hey,

I have a CD with pics in jpeg format copied from my camera. It just opens in my DVD player. In the PC the disc it´s not recognized. Im using Picasa to try to open it but it always says "insert the CD" when trying to import the pics. Does anybody know what´s going wrong? Thanks!

what happens if you put in the CD and then right click on it and say open with? That way you can choose the program to open it.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Insert the CD and hold down the left Shift key to override autorun.

Using Windows Explorer can you view the contents of this CD?
If so, then open Picassa, go to File, Open and browse to the CD and select a file to open.

Is that what you were looking for?

"In the PC the disc it´s not recognized."
Meaning???
You insert it and nothing happens.
You insert it and are unable to browse it.

"I have a CD with pics in jpeg format copied from my camera."
How did the images get from the camera to the CD?
You did it using this same PC or someone else did it for you?
If the later then it is possible that they did not finalize the CD making it unplayable in your CD player on your PC.

Otherwise, are you asking if you have a CD drive problem or a file format viewing problem?

Bryan

Hey I just got into the messages because of a long weekend in my country, so sorry I haven´t post before.

First, no, I can´t open the CD in any way, it´s not being recognize at all.

I´ll try to do what Bryco told me to and then I´ll post again. I dont have the CD with me right now.

Thanks a lot!

Ok,

I did everything you´ve told me.
I left shifted to override autorun, right clicked to get the "open with", but nothing happens. It always says "insert the CD in the D unit". Meaning it´s not recognized at all.
The pics were uploaded directly from the camera using the Picassa program in another computer. My wife did it. I dont have any clue if there´s a problem with it or not. But I remember when she was uploading the pics something happened and some pics were repeated like 3 times and they were also misplaced.
I dont know if there´s going to be any solution for it but thanks for the tips anyway. At least I can open them at home in the DVD player (what shows computer systems sill have a LOT to learn or a hard way to be 100% usefull)

another question. Can your wife open the CD on her PC? If So, get her to transfer (Copy) the pics back on her PC and let her burn another CD. That should fix the problem hopefully.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
