i have a .avi video file. the problem is i cant open the .avi file. every time i try to play it on window media player, the WMP crashed. i have the codec. other avi videoes works fine. any idea?

Try opening it with medial player clasic.
It's free and easily available. I've switched
over to using it for most of my avi's because it opens more flakey flicks. If that won't do it, try Real Player.

omg, every time i click on it, the windows crash. when i try to open it, or right click on it. error pops out, it says Windows explore encounted problem that need to be close. i try to use winamp, quicktime. samething. this file is xvid format.

I've managed to fix more than a few bad avi's by re-ripping them with VirtualDub. It's free on this site
