I have created a broucher page in photoshop of Width 11inches, height 17 inches and 600dpi.
I click on file save as and save the file as a jpg file. However, the jpg file is so big that I can barely see 10% of it in the browser. I want photoshop to save the file of such dimensions that it is exactly 11" wide and 17" tall on my monitor, without any need to zoom.
I tried lowering the dpi from 600 to 300 but that does not help.
Thanks.

the monitor resulution is 72 dpi so if the document resolution is 300 it will still be 4 times bigger on the screen than when printed

To change the size of the picture, first...change it back to a bmp. If you change the size of a jpg, it causes severe distortion.
Then, open the file, and click....image....image size...then reduce the width figure up in the pixel dimensions, until the heighth and width inches in the document size are what you want. Then click ....file...save. Hope that solves your problem. Good luck...

I wonder what'll happen if I do this ?
