Specs: Windows 7

i want to burn dvds on my computer and play them on a blu-ray player nothing i have done helps.

Make sure you are using the correct type of blank DVDs which are compatible with your BD player. If you are already using the correct type, try a different brand of media.

How are you burning the discs? Are you just copying the video files over to the disc or are you actually creating a DVD/BD video formatted disc>

I'd think we'd first need to know:

1. What your hardware specs are.
2. What software you're using to burn the discs with.
3. What it is that you've done that hasn't (or even has) worked.

Try the free Imgburn, Great tool to have in your tool collection, though its interface can be a bit daunting maybe.
I am using Appgeeker DVD Creator, works well on my computer. But it is a shareware, it is not for everyone.

I found dvd flick works well. It willl create the vob & ifo files Personally, I couldn't work out how to get imageburn to create dvd's
