Canon ZR85 not detected

i tried to connect the cam using USB, but my machine failed to recognize it. can anyone tell me why so ? since its a plug n play device i cant understand why it is happening.

Did you have the cam turned on? That usually helps to get XP to recognize it.

I also noticed your ram is only 128. SP2 runs much better with 256 or more...just a thought as ram is so inexpensive nowadays.

Hi,

I am having the same issue - except I have 1GB ram and am using XP Home.

The cam is turned on, neither the OS nor windows movie maker detects it. . . any insight would be appreciated.

have you tried installing it in safe mode?
