I have a Canon PowerShot A95 that came with Canon ZoomBrowser. A little while back I was having an issue with my machine and had to remove all non-essential software (including ZoomBrowser). Now I want to reinstall the program, but when I try, I get a message saying an older version is already installed, and will be updated, then the installation encounters an error and aborts.
I have looked all over my machine to make sure any reference to Canon not present, checked the registry and everything, but I can't find anything Canon like anywhere, so why is the install saying its there?
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know, I have flash cards with photos piling up because I can't upload them to my machine.

Just a thought:
Have you looked in program files for anything there? Is there any other Canon software installed, you may have to remove it all and reinstall.

Did you uninstall the software correctly using 'Add Remove Programs'?
Sorry, I do not check for private messages

Yes, I uninstalled the program using the Add/Remove Tool, and I did also look under "Program Files".
I've also run searches on my machine for "canon" and "Zoom" and "ZoomBrowser", with nothing returned. I'm at my wits end. Why/Where is the installer finding something?
