Cannot fully utilize old software?

OK. I just installed old software for my Intel PC Camera (CS430) onto my WindowsXP. The problem is it has some problems as it is only meant to run on Win98 and ME. I can play the camera games it came with, but I cannot use video or picture record because it says the camera is in use with other software when it is not. Can I fix this or would it be better to get freeware online for it.

Did you intall the driver for windows 98 on your xp machine by chance. If you don't have the driver for xp for the camera you can download it HERE

My computer already had that latest driver as I had done a manual driver update awhile ago.
