Can not get CD-R to bring up pictures

I have a CD_R that my computer will not or can not read. I have try evrything I can think of to get them to come up but nothing?

1- have you tried the CD in another computer to see if that works?
2- Do you get any error messages?
3- If you open my computer does the drive recognize the disc?
