hi i have been trying to burn movies i download to cd to watch on my home dvd player but it always says unknown data my computer is soppost to burn all what am i doing wrong yes i have tryed naro

If they are divx movies..I highly recommend you use a program called ..VSO DivxToDVD converter...Its by far the easiest encoder to use..The quality that it outputs is second only to TMPGENC.. Get it here.. http://www.vso-software.fr/download.php

You need tell me the format of the movie you have downloaded. Then you can find some free tools to convert the format to MPEG2 that used in DVD.

Are you trying to burn movies to DVD or CD? If your talking CD, then the file format has to be for VCD or SVCD. Also if your just talking normal CD-R, some DVD players won't play them,mostly older ones won't play VCD on normal CD-R discs,like myself I tried burning VCD on a normal CD-R and it wouldn't work, but it did work if I used a CD-RW disc.
