I burned a AVI format movie using Nero 6. Looks like it did burn alright but have the following proble, When I put the disc in a DVD player to play it back there are two items on the menu. First item shows a folder. Second item shows the movie. I cant go down to the movie. It's stuck on the file folder which plays nothing. Any ideas? Thanks John

Yes, you need to convert the avi file, to video (VOB).

Nero Vision express will do this, but it will take a couple of hours.
Then burn as a dvd video.
I assume you have the dvd plugin for Nero.
Otherwise search for freeware converters.

Use FAVC (free): http://favcfavc.googlepages.com/home

Set your bitrate to 6000 (the 2nd or 3rd configuration tab)and go with the defaults-sound around 260 should do it. Enable the "create ISO" button. An ISO will be created, then burn the ISO in Nero to a good quality DVD disk. Remember that the conversion will be only as good as the original AVI. This software produces spectacular results.
